Who makes our team special
The Ancaster Village Nursery & Forest School Team is made up of passionate early years educators who bring warmth, experience, and a love for childhood learning. We work together to create a supportive, enriching environment where every child can flourish.

Michelle – Nursery Manager
Michelle has been the Nursery Manager and SENCo at Ancaster Village Nursery & Forest School since 2015. She holds a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Education and is also a proud mum to two grown-up children.
– Alongside her role as Nursery Manager, Michelle is a qualified:
– Level 3 Forest School Leader
– Level 3 Early Years SEN Co-ordinator (SENCo)
– Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
Michelle is passionate about supporting every child to feel safe, valued and able to achieve their full potential. She has a particular interest in supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and works closely with families to build positive, trusting relationships. She believes that open, honest and compassionate communication is essential and is always available to offer guidance and support to children, families and colleagues.
Michelle is passionate about the nursery’s child-centred ethos, which is inspired by the Curiosity Approach. She enjoys creating enriching learning opportunities through open-ended resources, natural materials and outdoor experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love of learning.
As a leader, Michelle is committed to fostering a positive, inclusive and supportive environment for both children and staff. She places great importance on staff wellbeing and believes that a happy, motivated team is key to providing outstanding care and education for every child.

Caroyln – Deputy Manager
Carolyn has been a valued member of our nursery team since joining us in 2008 as a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner. Through her dedication, hard work and commitment to providing outstanding care and education, she progressed to Baby Room Leader before becoming our Deputy Manager.
Carolyn has a real passion for supporting babies in their earliest years, understanding that these first experiences lay the foundations for lifelong learning and development. She loves watching each child grow in confidence, reach new milestones and develop their own unique personalities.
Her nurturing approach and commitment to high-quality early years practice make her an valuable part of our nursery management team.

Harry
Third in Charge, Forest School Leader, Out Of School Club Leader & DSL.
Harry is passionate about supporting children to become independent and confident in their everyday lives. Harry believes that every child deserves to feel happy, safe and valued, and he strives to create a nurturing environment where children can learn, grow and thrive through play.
Harry has a real passion for the outdoors and enjoys sharing this with the children through Forest School sessions. He believes that outdoor learning provides valuable opportunities for children to explore, take managed risks, build resilience and develop a lifelong appreciation for the natural world.
Alongside his role at the nursery, Harry is currently studying towards a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Education. He is committed to continually developing his knowledge and skills to ensure he provides the highest quality care, learning experiences and support for every child.

Tilley
Third in Charge, Level 3 Childcare Practitioner & Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
Tilley has worked in childcare for over 13 years and has been a valued member of the team since 2016.
Tilley is also qualified as a Level 2 Community Activator Coach, enabling her to inspire children to enjoy sports and be active whilst supporting their physical development through engaging and enjoyable experiences.
She loves spending time with the children and feels privileged to be part of their early years journey. Watching children grow in confidence, develop new skills and reach important milestones is the most rewarding aspect of her role.
Tilley is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing and fun environment where every child feels happy, valued and supported to achieve their full potential.
